We were inspired by the great little story about 12th century cathedral architecture
and noticed some similarities to our family's barn.
Then we watched this video about the building of a Cathedral. Love this book too!

There are approx. 25 gallons of sap in refrigeration here at the moment awaiting a big boil down in the morning. My little sap collecting helper and I go out in the afternoon and pray we don't run into Jimmy Skunk who's been slinking around somewhere, hiding nearby the past few days. Yeah, the live trap is out. We're pretty sure Mr. Badger and Johnny Chuck are awake by the looks of things. Warm weather and robins! have arrived, the dead flies I missed in the window sills started buzzing again and I'm trying to keep up with all the mud, the revamped morning lessons, the long hours of outdoor play that are BACK!, and the many big spring plans for the TLC we are giving this farm. 65 degrees feels A-mazing! Chapter 56 of Child's History of the World happened this week.

Beautiful pictures! We still have some very, very high snowdrifts here on PEI. We will probably still be waiting another month or so before Spring starts to arrive...can't wait!

Hi Bobby Jo, have you boiled down sap before? My parents did last year and are doing it again this year. I can almost taste the sap as I read your post. Today it is gray and drizzly outside, and slowly our snow is melting down lower and lower.
